The Edge

Postcard Catalysts and Residents
Queensland's new digital culture centre for experimentation in design, art, technology and enterprise

The Edge is the State Library of Queensland’s digital culture centre. It is a place for experimentation and creativity, giving contemporary tools to creative people in all fields to allow them to explore critical ideas, green initiatives, new creative practices and media making.

The Edge enables the creation of the full range of art and technology, research, training, mentoring and being mentored, networking, and entertaining and being entertained.

Programming is based on rigorous outreach, committed partners and a strong collaboratively driven curatorial vision.

Informal spaces abound for discussion and the pursuit of individual and group activities, which foster a sense of community, a commitment to collaboration and a spirit of openness.

Local and international residency opportunities bring creative leaders to The Edge to stimulate creative practice and enrich networks.

The Edge hosts inspiring workshops and forums for ideas exchange, led by staff and emerging practitioners.
